Profilia Village

Profilia, a small traditional village on the south side of the island. Built on the side of Mount “Gerakas” with a wonderful panoramic view, it is located about 80km from the city of Rhodes. It is a quiet settlement for those seeking something different on the island of Rhodes. The chapels of Archangelos Michail and of Agios Georgios near the village square, dating back to the 16th century AD. The village is mainly visited by nature lovers as in its dense pine forest there are rare kinds of flora and fauna. This wonderful forest is the refuge for the deer Dama Dama or “Platoni of Rhodes” and is protected by the European Natura 2000 network.
