The park was shaped into its present form by the Italians; it is said to be the first landscaped park in the world. In ancient times, the park housed the famous school of rhetoric of Aeschines, where Cicero and Julius Caesar studied. A Roman aqueduct dominates the entrance of the park.
Walk along the paths and wooden bridges with peacocks by your side, feeling the presence of Romans and ancient Greeks as you step on trails that have been walked by people for thousands of years. Follow the river to the end and you will find the Ptolemaic tomb, originating from the Hellenistic era, adorned with 21 Doric half-columns.
Make sure to add Rodini Park to your itinerary; it’s a fantastic place to visit.
