Kalavarda Beach

Kalavarda Beach, located on the west coast of Rhodes, is a perfect destination for kitesurfing enthusiasts. It lies 30 km from Rhodes Town and is just 1.5 km away from the center of Kalavarda Village.

This sandy beach usually has gentle winds and mild waves. It is divided into two sections by a rocky outcrop; the right side features shallow waters, perfect for children, though it is often covered in seaweed. In contrast, the left side offers deeper waters with sandy bottoms and shores, making it an excellent location for kitesurfing.

The beach is equipped with kitesurfing facilities, including a shower and changing room, as well as two taverns. However, there are no sunbeds or umbrellas available. Fortunately, trees lining the coast provide natural shade for those seeking respite from the sun.

Kalavarda Beach is also renowned for its stunning sunsets, creating a picturesque end to a day spent by the sea.
