Mandomata Beach

Description

Mandomata Beach in Faliraki, Rhodes, is one of the world’s best-known naturist beaches and the only nudist beach on the island.

It is located in a lovely, sheltered bay on the island’s east coast, about 14 km from Rhodes Town and just 2 km from the heart of vibrant Faliraki.

Surrounded by rugged coastal scenery and crystal-clear waters, Mandomata Beach is celebrated for its natural beauty. The shoreline is covered with soft sand, while the seabed is mostly rocky with a few sandy patches, making water shoes a useful addition. The sea is known for its striking turquoise color, exceptional clarity, and calm conditions, with a gentle slope that allows for easy swimming.

The beach is well organized, offering sunbeds, umbrellas, showers, changing rooms, and a small restaurant where visitors can enjoy food, snacks, or coffee. There is also a free area available for those who prefer not to rent sunbeds.

Although Mandomata Beach is primarily known today as a naturist destination, its appeal extends beyond nudism. Its peaceful setting, scenic surroundings, and secluded location have made it one of the most popular beaches in Rhodes.

How to Get There

Access is easy by car or scooter. You can park at the top of the road and walk to Mandomata Beach in just two minutes. There is also parking available along the road above the beach and in a small lot on the left side. In the summer, it’s best to arrive early since parking spots fill up quickly after midday.

Alternatively, you can reach the beach by taking a 10-minute walk from Kathara Beach along a beautiful coastal path or by using the local bus services that frequently operate in the area. A bus ticket costs €2.50 from Rhodes Town and €4.50 if you are coming from Lindos.
