Traditional Costume and Heritage Day

The Embonas Traditional Costume and Heritage Day returns for its third edition on Saturday, 18 July, at 7:30 PM, in the charming village of Embonas, inviting visitors to experience local customs, music, and traditional dances.

The evening begins at the Embonas Community Hall, where participants and visitors will walk together through the picturesque village streets, stopping for traditional dancing in the lower village square before continuing to the courtyard of Embonas Primary School.

Alongside the dance groups of the Embonas Cultural Association, guests will enjoy performances by the Women’s Cultural Association of Ialyssos “Fereniki” and the Brotherhood of Olympites of Rhodes “Vrykous”, both showcasing their beautiful traditional costumes.

The event includes presentations of traditional customs, and a revival of local traditions. The celebrations continue with live music, dancing, and a festive atmosphere, offering visitors a wonderful opportunity to experience the rich cultural heritage of Rhodes and the Dodecanese.

The Embonas Traditional Costume and Heritage Day is co-organized by the Cultural Association of Embonas “Attavyros” and the Athletic Association of Embonas “Anagennisi”.
