Apollona Village

Apollona village lies 53 km from Rhodes town, on the southeastern slope of Mount Prophitis Ilias, surrounded by lush pine, cypress, and olive trees.

It is presumed that it derived its name from the temple of Apollo that once was in the area.

Apollona village is famous for the excellent quality of olive oil it produces, as its inhabitants are mainly occupied with olive growing. It is also a popular destination for nature lovers. There are many hiking trails with small babbling brooks and creeks and rare kinds of flora and fauna which you can explore.
