Arnitha village in Rhodes, one of the most picturesque villages of the Rhodes island. It is located on its southern side, approximately 80 kilometers from the city of Rhodes. A beautiful, traditional settlement hidden among the hills with white houses, narrow streets and beautiful gardens.
Before starting your wandering around the village, cool off at the fountain located at the entrance of the village and enjoy your coffee in the shade of the century-old plane tree. It is worth visiting the post-Byzantine monastery of Agios Filimonos, the Church of Agios Georgios from the 19th century, as well as the Chapel of Agios Niconos from the 13th century AD at the end of the village, with a wonderful panoramic view. If you are a lover of nature and hiking, the places of special beauty “Foudana-Vodi” with small waterfalls and “Kleisoura” with the gorge are among the best options. Traces of a small settlement, Castle and Hellenistic tombs have been found on the “Paleokastro” hill. From there the view is magnificent. So if you want to get to know the non-tourist side of the island, Arnitha is one of the villages that offer it.
