Gennadi Village

Gennadi, one of the largest villages of southern Rhodes. It is located 64 kilometers from the city of Rhodes and is known for its endless beaches. From the main road leading to the village you will see a modern tourist resort. But walking through the alleys of the village you will also discover a traditional settlement, with the main characteristic of the houses being the high walls with the hidden courtyards. On your wanderings in the village it is worth seeing the church of Saint Anastasia of Rome with unique frescoes from the 1800s, the church of Saint John the Theologian, the police station of Italian architecture, and the olive press. Nature lovers explore the gorge of “Mala” with small waterfalls, the lake of “Skolonitis” and the artificial dam of Gennadi. The wonderful beach of the village is an attraction for thousands of visitors every year.
