Ialyssos Village

Ialyssos is located about 7 km from Rhodes airport and 8 km west of the town of Rhodes. In the past Ialyssos used to be a holiday resort for the Rhodian officials hence there are several neo-classical architecture villas.
Nowadays Ialyssos has become popular tourist destination with many options to offer. Plenty of bars and restaurants, coffee shops, souvenir shops and variety of accommodations to choose for your stay, from holiday homes to stunning Luxury hotels.
The beach is pebbly and usually windy, ideal for windsurfing. There are a good selection of beach bars and tavernas.
We recommend to start your day with a walk-in traditional village, if a local tell you that you are in Trianta, no you didn’t lose your way, you are still in Ialyssos. Ialyssos and Trianta is the same thing for the locals.
Enjoy the sunset while eating in traditional fish taverna along the beach.  A night walk in Ferenikis street or in Ixia region it’s a must.

Don’t miss to visit Filerimos hill where is located Ancient Ialyssos city state and the Firerimo’s medieval monastery.
