Soroni Village

Soroni is a small seaside village on the northwestern side of the island, 25 kilometres away from the city of Rhodes. It is a peaceful destination, for those seeking peace and quiet.
The traditional part of the village is located mainly at the centre, around the central church of the village Agios Loukas. In one of these traditional houses is the Folk House of Soroni, a place worth visiting. The villagers are quite active and keep many of the village customs through clubs they have formed.
At a distance of 3 kilometres visitors can enjoy the Agios Silas Grove (or Soula as the locals call it), with the monastery after which it took its name. The spring waters found there are considered to be therapeutic. Every year from July 25th to July 30th, takes place one of the biggest county fairs. A wonderful Grove, ideal for families with small children as it prides for its sports facilities and a park for road safety education. .
