You are invited to the 3rd Takaki Festival on Saturday, July 11, at 8:00 PM, in beautiful Pastida Village, for an unforgettable evening celebrating the authentic flavors, music, and traditions of Rhodes.
Experience the live preparation of Takaki, one of Rhodes’ cherished traditional sweets, as local women demonstrate the time-honored art of making and glazing this delicious dessert.
The evening’s program also features traditional music performed by talented young musicians, folk dance performances, and a lively celebration of traditional Rhodian music and dancing, continuing late into the night.
More than a food festival, the Takaki Festival is a heartfelt celebration of Pastida’s rich cultural heritage. It shines a spotlight on one of Rhodes’ charming villages, honors local traditions, and pays tribute to the remarkable women whose dedication and passion keep the island’s customs alive for future generations.
