The 8th European Polyphony Festival invites you to experience a spectacular Aerial Music Performance by Compagnie Transe Express on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at Eleftherias Square in Rhodes Town.
The evening begins at 6:00 PM with an Artists’ Meet-Up, featuring music, percussion, face painting, magic and many surprises before the grand show. At 7:30 PM, the spectacular Aerial Music Performance takes centre stage.
The renowned French street theatre company Compagnie Transe Express brings its acclaimed creation “The Cursed Bell Ringers” (Maudits Sonnants) to Rhodes for an unforgettable open-air spectacle combining music, theatre, movement and aerial performance.
At the heart of the performance is the Heavenly Carillon, surrounded by theatrical figures whose bells and music fill the city. As the performers gradually rise into the air, the audience is drawn into a poetic and breathtaking spectacle that transforms the city centre into a celebration of sound, colour and movement.
Adding to the experience, more than 1,000 primary school students from Rhodes will participate in the musical celebration, following workshops organised by the Festival in collaboration with the educational team of the Mikrokosmos Choir.
