Ialyssos Beach

Ialyssos Beach, located on the northwestern coast of Rhodes, about 8 km from Rhodes Town, is one of the largest and most popular beaches on the island, alongside the nearby Ixia Beach.

The beach is mainly pebbly, with some sandy stretches, while its crystal-clear waters become deep relatively quickly. Families with small children should therefore take extra care, and water shoes can make exploring the shoreline more comfortable.

Well organized and equipped with sunbeds, umbrellas, showers, and a range of watersports facilities, Ialyssos Beach is particularly popular with windsurfers and kitesurfers, thanks to the area’s strong, steady winds.

For a quieter experience, head to the large, less organized section, where there is plenty of space to relax away from the busier areas. Along the shoreline, you’ll also find a good selection of restaurants, cafés, and shops, offering everything needed for a comfortable day by the sea.
