On Sunday, March 15th, at 11:00 AM, the Cultural Association of Massari “Kammyri” is hosting the Famous Orange Festival Massari at Agios Ioannis Chapel.
Renowned for their distinct flavor, the oranges of Massari village are a beloved symbol of the area. This annual event sees the Cultural Association members, local women, and numerous volunteers coming together to whip up delicious traditional dishes and sweets featuring oranges.
You will find an array of homemade treats like spoon sweets, jams, and liqueurs made from various citrus fruits, as well as delightful orange pies. Additionally, the talented women of the village prepare local traditional meals, which are either offered or sold during the festival.
Join us for a lively celebration filled with traditional music and dance performances that will create a joyful atmosphere, inviting everyone to unite and enjoy the festivities.
The Orange Festival Massari is organized by the Cultural Association of Massari “Kammyri”, with the valuable support of the Municipality of Rhodes, the Region of South Aegean, and DOPAR.
